Basically in a nutshell the product configurator allows your buyers to customize your product to their liking. When your buyers come to your listing and view your listing description, they will be able to customize your product to their needs rather than hitting the 'Back' button to search for the right product. Once buyers leave your listing, they are as good as gone. With so many competitors with similar products buyers can quickly get lost in a sea of listings.

Once your buyer has customized the product and clicked the 'Create my listing' button, our system will automatically generate a new eBay listing matching the price, options, weight, and images of the buyer's product. They will be taken to the new listing directly. The entire process only takes a few seconds between the time the buyer clicks the button to the time the new listing is right in front of them ready for purchase.

Yes, all eBay listings that our software creates are subject to whatever insertion fees eBay charges you for a listing in that category. The fees can also depend on which store subscription you have with eBay. If you sell a high volume of products and expect your buyers to generate a lot of listings each month, it may be prudent to subscribe to an eBay store to reduce insertion fees.

Let us mention that at first glance uncommitted buyers can seem like a downside to our software but that's not necessarily the case. An uncommitted buyer is someone who customizes a product, creates the new listing, but for whatever reason decides not to purchase. When uncommitted buyers create listings they never purchase, it only serves to increase the seller's visibility on eBay and brings in a lot more traffic to their stores resulting in more (yes you guessed it), sales! The amount of lost insertion fees is also very minimal compared to the vast reduction in customer returns you'll most likely see using our software. When buyers are able to select exactly what they want, it dramatically reduced the probability of them returning their purchase. As eBay sellers we know that when a customer returns something, we take a large loss and if a 15 cent insertion fee is the difference between making a sale or not, we'd all do it in a heartbeat.

This is a very valid concern and we, as experienced eBay sellers ourselves, understand that competition on eBay can be brutal. To combat this situation, we've incorporated a simple to use yet very effective spam prevention filter which allows you to set limitations to the amount of listings that can be generated. You can limit the amount of listings that can be generated per hour, day, week, and month. This can either apply to the same IP address (person/computer) or a global limit which limits everyone together. You can also apply these limits to certain individual products or all of them. This allows you to select which products may be at greater risk of abuse and give them their own set of spam prevention settings.

First of all, you do not need any knowledge of web design or coding experience. You can literally create a custom product and have it active on eBay in a few minutes. We've made everything simple and straight forward with drag and drop functionality. Once you've finished creating a custom product in Cindercube, we then generate the HTML code that will be pasted into your listing. At the click of a 'Copy to clipboard' button you can then paste it into your eBay listing description's HTML tab. Just keep in mind that you'll need to use eBay's advanced listing format in order to have access to the HTML tab for your product description. Super easy!
